not sure about the power, I would think you can adjust the dizzy and see if it comes back. That would comfirm the knock sensor problem.

as for the knock noise I have had a few in and it turned out to be a slight manifold leak on 1 cyl. does sond like a bit of a knock.

whats your mileage?
if its over 90,000 I would also look at your tires, if they are choping from weak shocks it could also be that.

I was thinking u-joints until you mentioned swerving it goes away - that sounds more like front wheel bearings. Hard to say without being there.... I agree. I was thinking u joints but they wouldnt change side to side realy.(from T case to rear end) If it does it all the time I would raise the rear...
