Re: 2005 Xterra's

I wonder if there was a recall for the transmission problem? The one I am looking at is in London, private deal, Krowned with recepits for each year. 2 sets of tires, with 2 set set of rims. Looks like it was baby'd. He is asking $10,700. Didn't seem like a bad deal, I saw it on Autotrader.

2005 Xterra's

Looking at selling my 2001X and buying a 2005 X. Anything to look out for with the 2005's? Do they have the same issues like the 2001? Timing Belt, 6th sparkplug etc?

Re: Leaking Head Gasket

Can't find any good pictures on line. I will have to take one after work but I am pretty sure that is what it is. There is oil around it. At lunch today when I started it up and drove it home I noticed smoke - opened up the hood and there was smoke coming from where that back spark plug is where oil...

Valve Cover Gasket Leaking

I noticed some oil on the driveway and when I looked under the hood I noticed oil around the valve cover gasket. Anyone know what it costs to get the gasket replaced? My truck is the 2001 SE.

Re: Oil Spraying

I say Krown. My truck is 10 years old almost and have had it krowned almost every year and I have no rust on the body whats so ever. The only rust is on the steel bumper and I have one small spot on the roof. Other than that it is mint!

Re: Electrical issue?

because I was limping back down Riverside drive from Oakridge (I live in the Blackfriars area) I just left it
at the small repair shop across from Cowboys - Brians Quality Auto. I have had him do a few things for me
when I haven't been able to go to Milton.

Stereo Install

This is my first time attempting to do this sort of thing but from what I have
seen on the internet it doesn't look to difficult. My original stereo is going
and I am picking up a new head unit - 1 din. My truck is 2001. Is there anything
tricky that I should be aware of?
