Re: Front Brakes
Double check the grease used in the auto hubs. If they used a heavy grease, it can wreak havoc on the auto hub functionality. To fix, clean out the hubs using a good degreaser, then use fluid film to lubricate the auto hubs.

Re: 2000 Xterra - No Start Condition
Mine did that when the distributor went. All at once....no codes, and no start. Stumbled a few times then died at a light. I did get it to re-start, and limped it home, but never got it to start again. Pulled it out, pulled the cap and rotor, and the coil cover, and found bearing bits in there

Re: Control Arm Bushings
Thank you for confirming what I was thinking already. I was told by superlift that the rubber (stock type) will not fit in their control arms. Do you remember if you were able to use rubber in yours way back when? It isn't a race car so I'm sure the difference won't be noticeable, lol. I never trie...

Re: Control Arm Bushings
I hate poly bushings for this reason. I have never had any luck with longevity of poly bushings. Rubber, while not performing as well (when new) seems to last longer.

Re: R50 wheels on first gen X
The 17" Pathfinder wheels will need to be bored out to fit over the Xterra's front hubs, if I'm not mistaken.

Re: Engine temperature on 3.5 Pathy
The 3.5 in the Pathfinder wasn't as known for oil burning as the 3.5 in the Maxima of that generation. Not sure what the difference is, but I haven't heard of nearly as many issues with the Pathfinder motor.

Yep. Take the cap off, and turn it upside down, and spin it. You'll likely fill your hand with bearing bits.

Re: Engine temperature on 3.5 Pathy
Hey Dudu, There's definitely something amiss with your truck, and it sounds like you've already got it figured out. Pezzy's 3.5L never gets over half, even towing and loaded. My dads is the same. The high amperage draw increasing temps makes sense, as there's more load on the alternator, and ultimat...

Re: Welcome Back!!
Well a functioning forum is better than a good looking one. If at some point we can add a dark theme I'd appreciate it, until then I'm happy to have pages that actually load. That's why we are where we are. We had to rush a bit to get this new site done, as the hosting contract with the old provide...

Re: Welcome Back!!
Alright, that's taken care of. As for the black, there's a couple of issues with that. 1) we couldn't find a theme that had both light, and dark options. We're looking for something similar enough to this, with a dark colour scheme. 2) It's possible to edit a copy of the current theme by manually ed...
