Re: Canoe roof rack
The racks are tight. The canoe tends to shift because you can't properly strap the front.

Re: Canoe roof rack
I've been strapping it to the crossbars, even put an extra one on from my spare xterra, but it seems to move around a bit. More of a pet peeve than concern. I saw the ones from Thule, online, but not in person. I'm curious if they're worth the cash and if they still shift around.

Canoe roof rack
It's been a long time since I've been to this site but my arse is back in an xterra! I'm on the hunt for a canoe rack for an 03. One could search for days online and not find what you're looking for. Any ideas or experience with something designed to hold a canoe rather than simply(or not so much) s...

Re: driveshaft?
Mine's like the first picture. I got NAPA to look up a Frontier ujoint and they have three in stock. Here's hoping it works. It's gonna be an interesting day. I'm supposed to leave in less than 24 hours for the first stop on a 4 day wheelin' trip. Life likes to mess with me sometimes!

driveshaft?
Will an 04 rear driveshaft fit an 01 Xterra? My parts guy told me he could find a u joint, but he lied. I found a wrecked 04 xterra and I'm kind of desperate.

Re: new skidplates and web site
Let me know if you need a "donor" truck for some 1st gen x skids that I bought the material for and still haven't gotten around to making! I fab farm machinery for a living and after 12 hrs of cutting, grinding and welding I just don't have interest in working on my own stuff. You have any ...

Re: Wrangler Territory / Revo 2 / Nokian WRG2 ???
I run the territory's and they're not that great in the snow....as far as field snow goes anyway. On road snow they work quite well , which is where I guess 95% of your winter driving will be! They are also wearing better than I thought they would, 25k and still roughly half left. In the mud they pa...

Re: Worst Selling Cars In 2010
Escape or I mean Escrappy garbage. Two of my relatives have them and they are junk, junk, junk. You can't take your family camping without a trailer, you have to leave the dog at home when you go away, and you have to leave the kids at home when you get groceries. The only thing they have going for th...

Re: Would you do this?
We climbed up a windmill just to have a beer and see how far we could throw the can from the top. Good times. No problems until you opened the hatch and stood on top, then it got scary. And why were'nt these guys tied off 100% of the time? Buddy system? Showing off? In college I took a fall arrest c...

Re: Kinda proud of this (I think)
My own two cents....Turn up the heater...turn up the radio...drive slow on the highways...fishtail around every corner in town you can get away with safely...listen to the kids scream with joy while doing it!! I LOVE WINTER DRIVING, you never have to be on time anywhere. Blame it on the roads. Now i...

Re: My brother got an H3...need help
Too much money!!! And we managed to get the bummer completely stuck for about half an hour the other day. Took some creative jacking and rock placement to get him off and he never lost his cool, while he sat in the cab while we did the work to get him out. One thing I can say is he's not afraid to u...

My brother got an H3...need help
So after two years of riding shotgun in my x on trails across Ontario my brother decides to buy an H3. We go out this morning to the local testing grounds and he spanks me on a hill I can't climb because he has a locker and I don't. Pisses me off, lots. I can make it up but I have to use speed at te...

Re: Exhaust splitting at the seams.
Yeah it's not a big deal, I'll likely put on a new muffler before the snow gets here..or until my wife can't handle the little rumble anymore. She talked to midas and they said 300 for the whole system, cat back of course, plus labour. Not gonna happen! Sounds like a common problem/wear. I'll mess w...

Exhaust splitting at the seams.
Not that big of deal as I'll just replace it but have any of you had a muffler split in two?? It's still the factory exhaust. I did however "re-arrange" it a couple of months ago on a rock but it was nothing a hammer handle and force couldn't fix. I think it's weird that it literally came ...

Re: armour questions.
I'm working on it..finally have some spare time. I've got everything sheared/cut, it's just waiting for my lazy butt to get out to the shop! So far the hardest part has been figuring out how to mount it all, Nissan didn't make it easy that's for sure. I'm starting to wonder if losing the inch and a ...
