Re: My Truck got hit on.
Sorta. Wheeling buddy of mine up here in Sudbury didn't realize we work on the same property (it's massive) on an almost daily basis. He hadn't seen my truck yet at this point but we'd been out for coffees many times so I suppose I assumed he knew what I wheeled. He left a note on my truck one day w...

Re: Slip Sensor = No Power
I'll just get Northern Nissan to take a look at it. I don't really have the time to mess around with it right now.
Thanks

Re: Slip Sensor = No Power
Alive yes! Sane, not sure.
It happens in a straight line and only at highway speeds. There is also a distinct humming which starts, but may be unrelated because the humming happens all the time and the slip has only occurred twice.

Slip Sensor = No Power
Has anyone else had this happen? At highway speeds 100 km/hr + and only twice my slip light has started flashing on dry surfaces. When it happens the truck can maintain it's current speeds and accelerate slowly however I can not accelerate with the power the 4.0 L can deliver. I've seen a wet harnes...

Re: nissan or toyota
Atta boy! I've got a '93 4Runner and I've wheeled both Nissan and Toyota very hard. I still have an X for a daily driver, but Toyota is the answer offroad. Waaaaaaaaaay better drivetrain design for offroad use. Sorry folks, but it's true...having an alty at the bottom of your engine just blows goats...

Re: What is this?
It looks like a load sensor for your brakes...I've never thought of it but I have to agree with Simon. It will increase your braking power if stretched which might not be a bad thing for challenging downhills.

You probably use it! Of course it will break. If you got a lemon, well I'm sorry to hear that. I'm glad it works well now.

Re: winch
The ones I see most commonly on the trails are the EP and EPi series winches. EPi series winches are internal solenoid winches with a slightly larger spool of wire rope on them although I can't recall how much longer than the external solenoid series (EP). http://www.superwinch.com/EPi9_9_000_lbs.ht...

Re: Optima Batteries
I know there is an rpm range in which your alternator will work harder to charge your battery. For instance, if left idling your alternator only provides trace charging. It is much better at highway speeds. For 8 hours, I don't know. I believe in what Morpheus is suggesting. At a certain level the a...

Optima Batteries
I'm reading varying opinions regarding my problem so I am hoping someone here has an answer for me. I have an Optima Yellow Top deep cycle in my truck. 120 minute reserve, 750-800 CCA (I can't recall, but I know it's within that range). Anyway, left my 4 Hella's on by accident one night (I don't kno...
