Re: K&N Filters
I just got finished putting my K&N CAI on my 06'. I have the spray oil in my recharge kit. Since I've only been for a rip around the block, besides the EPIC sound it makes, I didn't notice much of a difference from stock. I'll have to keep an eye out because my 04' sentra started giving me a few...

anybody wanna try this trail anytime soon???

Re: Tire Troubles
Just get them from 1010tires.com like I did (BFG Mud Terrain) then once they arrive go somewhere and have them installed where you won't get hassled.
Mine took 3 days to arrive, they are in Surrey. BC. Tons of tires.
Oh yeah, even after installation I was still under $1100

Re: 87 AKI Octane fuel
For the $7 dollar difference there really isn't a reason not to run a higher octane in the VQ motors. No matter what the cost of fuel here in Ontario, the difference between 87 and 91 in terms of price is always seven bucks (for me, filling up about 65L of fuel) so I always run premium weather it m...

Re: darlington off-road
If you can't take the bolt out just cut the head off as suggested but don't cut it flush with the block. Leave some of the bolt sticking out of the block so you can weld a nut on it and than take the bolt out . Good call, he won't need to leave much so there's a better chance of having the straight...

Re: Checking out Shoelace Creek
Last time we went there even AT tires with diff locker did not do well, there was very muddy hill, I think you will need mudders for that trail and skids, a lot of rocks. Interesting...if it's late October I'll hopefully have my new tires. I have an apprenticeship grant coming around then. We'll se...

Re: Checking out Shoelace Creek
I'm in for mid to late OCT, a Saturday trail run would be cool. Give me a chance to learn some things, meet new people and wheel all at the same time. :teeth: However, my tires are iffy...they are M+S but I've been burned twice already in the mud. I don't think I'll have my new meats by then..I'm st...

Re: Melt Mod to fit 285s
I've got a set of bf's 285/75/16 on my 05 Fronty and had to do no trimming. At full lock it rubs a little on the inner fender, but nothing major. Your right about what everyone says some have alot of rub and some have very minimal?????? I dont know why this is. If you get the lift on and dont buy t...

Re: darlington off-road
Try to take the bolt out, you might get lucky. If not you can take it to a machine shop and have it welded then re drilled/tapped. Either that or give me some dimensions and I'll machine a new one, it would look so pimp being machined from a single block of steel, instead of being fabricated. Also, ...

Re: Melt Mod to fit 285s
That's exactly where I heard of this mod. It's a bit puzzling though, some say they needed to do it and some say they have no issues. I think I'll just wait till I get the tires and go from there. Looking at my truck today as it sits with 31s, it's fairly evident that I'll need to massage some of th...

Melt Mod to fit 285s
My 2.5" lift will be here any day, after I install it I'll be getting new tires. I'm still deciding on what tire to purchase but I do know they'll be 285/75/16s. For all you 2nd gen owners out there with a mild lift and 285s...do you experience a lot of rubbing and have you had to do the melt m...

Re: Lifting my X
I didnt know that cam bolts dont come in the set in canada 4X ( bolt, 2 washers, nut ) I got mine from US all together. Get new nuts too. In my case bolts didnt wanna come out on their own and nuts got damaged by using air hammer on them. The bolts themselves have a washer face on them, but they di...

Re: Lifting my X
Got my cam bolts today, I just went to Nissan and got em, they were $74 bucks plus washers which were $19 and change. Now I just have to wait for my lift to arrive and I'm ready to roll. Hopefully I can reuse the existing nuts.

Lifting my X
I just bought a 2.5" lift, front spacers and rear AAL. When I install the spacers I will have to re-align the front end. Will I have to buy cam bolts as well ? It's an 06' Xterra so I think the factory bolts are non adjustable. Is that right? If so, I might as well buy them now before the kit g...

Re: 06' Xterra Off Road rear locker
Still no lights, me thinks it works though? I climbed an ultra steep rock face right after some mud and I didn't get so much as a slip from the rear end... I dunno, I should probably go have it looked at but I've been putting it off. It would seem weird that both the Diff Lock and ABS light(s) don't...
