Re: Cummins Crate Engines
Isn't there a 3 litre? I heard it is better than the 2.8 I believe the 2.8, 5.0 and 6.7 represent all of the current EPA compliant engines. The 3.0 or 5.9 may be a 'better' engine, depending on how you evaluate them, however to be sold for new installations compliance is likely required. I'd like t...

Re: Flashing Slip Light
mine did that when one of my front hubs started going. it was doing it before i could even feel or hear a whine in the car but took the wheel caliper and rotor off. pulled the cv out of the hub and spun the hub and could feel a slight grinding. replaced the hub kept the sensor and all was good. I h...

Agreed, though slightly disappointing. I wanted to see a full Titan powertrain swap.Morpheus wrote:Better than the worst case scenario.

Re: Wheel chocks/blocks?
How the heck am I gonna find a wheel chock 1/4 the height of my tire? I'll have to use a Leaf or something. For a 39" you're a ~11" chock as the ratio changes for larger radius wheels, or are you only a 37" which would be a 10". I've seen chocks much taller than that in mi...

Re: Wheel chocks/blocks?
See SAE J348, or a general rule of thumb for small diameter wheels is a chock height of 1/4 the wheel/tire height. http://autoparts-standard.org/index/images/userfiles/media/SAE%20J348v001.pdf I wouldn't trust a folding chock unless it has been certified to a standard or signed off by a competent en...

Re: Xterra Catalytic Converters
How common is it for the catalyst to break off on the manifold mounted ones and get sucked into the motor? My shop that is swapping the engine says one of the cats is damaged and it likely scored the cylinder walls. Yup, Titan's are known for this one too. Nissan manifolds are the gift that just ke...

V70 - Test drove to start troubleshooting a vibration...4x rotors and pads...requires more troubleshooting to confirm source of the vibration. RAM - Tires rotated, brakes checked, rear u-bolts shortened and torque checked, suspension and steering checked, and CB tossed in for AW. Sportsman 500 - Lea...

No problem. Just make sure they fit your year before ordering. Noting that they list the Titan, Frontier, Xterra, Armada and Pathfinder they may only fit the F-Alpha Frame versions.ARCTICboy wrote:Hey, Thanks for that Miner.

Not sure on the supplier. I know the early spindle bearings had premature failures so they were upgraded.
