Re: The Horn
WD22 Xterra horns are notorious for it. They start to sound like a kazoo. Pidge is correct, 10 minute job total.

Re: The Horn
Mine gave out after my first Grimsby run, I ignored it, then one day, bunch on kids were skateboarding in the middle of the road in front of me, bigger road not a suburb road, and they weren't moving, so instead of the brakes I just laid on my horn, forgetting it was gone. My music was up so I couldn't hear anything but i saw them all jump out of the way so I kept going as per usual. When I got out of my truck, I pressed the lock button, and it honked at me. I was shocked, sure enough, the horn worked again! since then its been submerged many times and hasn't gone bad again!! I loved my X's horn!

Re: The Horn
You must have the High note ones. We weren't sure which one we needed and bought both the High note and the Low Note from PA.Snafu wrote:I've got a pair of hella horns if you want...makes it sound like a mini with a bull horn!
Be sure to look for the one that says "BIG RIG"! LOL

Re: The Horn
I have two choices on mine... After the stock one died - I went to PA and got the "Coffee Truck" air horn - did the trick for a while but not really intimidating... The Second is a Big Rig Air horn - let me tell ya - People tend to move while I use this one !!!

Re: The Horn
lol...yeah I bought them through Budds Subaru and didn't think about it until I installed them on the fronty...gay is only word to describe them on the truck...replaced them with the horns from Simon's old pathy...now it is only slightly less gay...lol
I will still install them on the subaru...they are loud and work well for cars.
New horns are on the PA shopping list for my next visit.
