Fan to fan clutch torque specs

Post by amplifire »

I am away from my manual, could someone kindly let me know the torque specs for the bolt on the fan clutch to the pulley and to the plastic fan for an 02 x vg33e?

For an 01 frontier it does not say. It shows the bolt for the fan but no specs. The only spec given is the water pump bolt: 12-15 ft-lbs

I don't remember torquing those bolts to any specific setting when I replaced my fan clutch last year. I do remember making sure that they were tight enough to not come loose though!

You don't really want the fan to dislodge from the clutch when it's spinning. All kinds of bad things can happen if they loosen off.

Yeah I just used common sense and got them really tight without reefing them on
