Newb from Ontario
Hey just doing a quick intro. My name is Andrew, better known as FatnFly in the import scene. This is my 1st time dwelling into the SUV world. I just recently purchased an 01' Pathfinder SE. From what I've been researching it's going to be a fun project. Unfortunatly the support for this vehicle is very limited, but that just means more fun with customizing things.
Here's a pic of my other toy.

Nice. The Pathy looks clean. Is that a Genesis I'm looking at in the 2nd picture? Obviously a lot of work has gone into it.

Re: Newb from Ontario
Thanks for the warm welcome. Yes it's a Genesis, it was the 1st 2.0L GT in canada. I also run a few forums/clubs, one being the Ontario Genesis Club. It was a fun toy, I had it Featured in SEMA back in 2011 which was a real honour. I won't be going as extreme with the Pathy, I have a few other projects for that side of me lol I'm just looking for a nice clean daily and a little zest.
I think I made out decently with the Pathy. I was shopping around for a couple weeks since my GM 2500 was written off thanks to some kid. FIgured it was my chance to get something fun. I drove my friends 96 a while back and fell in love with it. So the details on this, it's an 01, 150000km's, aside from a surface spot of rust on near the sun roof and on the bottom of the fenders the body is in amazing shape. it's a 5spd which seemed to be almost impossible to find at a decent price and in good shape. I paid 5grand cert. Etested. I looked at a few others and the cheaper ones were rusted to hell and had 300 plus k's on it, and or had low km's but I could stick my fist through the rockers and floors.
Now the issue Im having with it is such----It is lacking tremendous power< I mean I'm loosing rpm in 2nd gear going up a hill. So I've been dwindling my options down. I replaced the fuel filter, (it needed done anyway) I bought new plugs. My sponsors are shipping me a KN CAI and an Exedy stage 1 clutch. The next thing I'm going to try, and i'm praying it's the issue and changing out the MAF. If it isn't the MAF, the next thing to go are the Cats, which I'll be exchanging for high flows eventually. Let the fun times begin lol

Welcome! MAF and ignition coil packs are a common problem on the 01 pathfinder. I believe there are revised parts that will fix the problem.

Re: Newb from Ontario
lol only difference I guess is, i'm only new to the SUV world, not the offroading world, here was my last 4x4 toy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xtc_iUkIEgs
both toys lol
It was an 01 FX4 ranger, 3'' body lift, 2.5'' suspension, and 35's. Awesome for offroading, but a lemon. I spent close to 15grand in repairs in less then a year on it.

LMFAO, Most cases I'd disagree< but yup the 4.0L is a Ford motor and it wasn't a very well built truck, mind you I did beat on it good!
