Titan tailgate

Post by Jibber »

So this project all started when my stock tailgate handle got ripped off by one of my kids. I checked for a replacement at the stealer ship and wasn't to impressed with the cost. The wreckers had nothing so I decided to be different and relocate the handle to the inside of the bed. Turns out that's the easy part. I ended up using a tailgate handle from a 93' hardbody(wanting to keep it all nissan). Install was simple, cut a hole on the inside of the tailgate, bent some tabs to bolt it to and I was done.

This is where I realized body work was involved. Lucky for me the guys at Autopsy customs were more then happy to help out. They did an amazing job of filling the massive hole the stock handle leaves behind. Once they were done it went for a trip to get a coat of line-x.

Finally got it back today, reinstalled and it looks amazing. Wanted to post some pics but ran out of daylight. So pics will follow soon.
