I bet Princess Auto has some cool pods. And any Performance Improvements store. Where are you? There's a good PI on the Queensway (Etobicoke) for that sort of thing. I think they are near Islington. North side of the street.

The guy to ask though is ND4SPDE. He seems the be the guy on this board who's up on all that stuff. PM him...

Thx for thinking about me, but Pidge beat me to the punch. I've been wanting one as well to be honest, but I haven't decided on what to do with the tweater(s)

The link I posted allows for tweeters or no tweeters. ;) Seen them in person and installed in Xterra's, and man they look awesome!

My only concern is visibility out the pillar. The pillars in our trucks seem pretty thick as it is, then add a couple of gauges...??? Or am I the only one who leans forward and triple checks for pedestrians on left hand turns.

Maybe I'm just being weird on it...

I always thought they were bonus points...

Well I'd be a monkey's uncle; I never would of thought in a million years than an aftermarket company would of actually taken that into consideration and made a second, seperate mold to accomodate the tweaters... :stickwack:

Well that makes my life easier :happydance:

The gauges face you so it doesn't make it much thicker than it already is for looking for points, I mean people! :teeth:
The gee-whiz factor though, is incredible when you see them installed or even illuminated at night.

I have the Gaugepods one mounted in my '02 with the tweeters. No issues with visibility, no issues with install even the tweeter. They look great and match paint and texture nicely.

Same here in my '03, with the tweeters - fit and finish looks like it came out of a Nissan factory. Mine's been in and out a half dozen times (it's a great place to hide aux wiring - holds all the air-hoses and electrical for the Rancho air-suspension system, my temp/compass mirror wires, and roof light wiring), fits the Xterra like a glove, but the gauges that come with the Rancho air system are smaller than the holes, so I had to grind away on some large washers to use as filler plates. I've added the compressor switch and relief valves as well, and it looks nice and organized when it's in. It's currently out, while I sort out an air leak in the Rancho system, or I'd take pictures for ya.

What gauges are you thinking of installing in it?

I've wanted one of these for a while now, but my concern was the same as Geoffrey's... I always thought it would make the pillar even more cumbersome to look around, as they are already pretty thick!

Good to know that they don't block too much...

If you're willing to cut and are good with plastics, and don't want it on your pillar do what I did.

Instead of the scangauge you can put another regular gauge on the other side. Word of warning, an 1/8th" too high and you'll hit the HVAC controls with the back of the gauge. I barely squeezed it in. Also, you loose your 12VDC port and your upper mounting screws on the trim panel.
