Gotcha. The 5.38 should help but a lower crawling gear would help too.

I have yet to make the timber 1 waterfall without a winch. This summer would be the time if it were to ever happen though. Didn't want to risk it just before NL though as last year I ripped a brake line off and didn't have all 4 wheels working again until the Thursday afternoon.

Here's the video of this year's carnage. Unfortunately the SD card in the second camera was corrupt.

Still working on a cargo net for the truck...coming along great so far. In some places I will use rivets instead of stitching...found some cool rivets. If there is enough time I would also like to make one for the roof rack too before AW.

Still waiting on my UCA bushings from Rugged Rocks. I'm getting scared they may not arrive in time for AW...

Keep after him. Pin him down on what the delay is and when he will ship out.

It's because Superlift won't drop ship to canada so he is shipping to him and then to me.

Pics? You could get a piece of aluminum angle from HD and rivet it to the shelf at the back. Give it a bit of strength.

That i did not , Every set if instructions never said anything about that , but it makes to sense to add something there to give the back end strength . i have pics , but too hungry to go find a place to host them atm lol But thats only part of it , the eyebolts were the worst of it. They said 1/4 X 3" and all of them i see then sandwich the hooks already there with two nuts and two washers , but if i did that it would angle the eyebolts towards the window and then the shelf could not go into the eyebolts , so i removed the hooks used a tap and die kit and rethreaded the eyebolts to thread into the existing hook holes. have one side to redo next week.

- swapped out the old TSLs for new tires on DIY beadlocks
Image
- went to replace a brake light because I was told I had one out, and found the bulb rolling around in the housing...guess it rattled free from the socket...still works i.e. not burnt out afterall
- replaced the taillight housings...cracked one on The Rock and with all the rain lately, it was filling up pretty quickly with water (not the one with the loose bulb, that one was just cracked superficially, but replaced it anyway because that's what you do when you have spare housings)
- adjusted parking brakes...not that they work well even when adjusted
- installed light bar (currently on sale at http://www.trail-gear.ca/light-bars/)
- also installed the quintessential CB antenna Canada flag

Nice!

I took the rear leafs out of the truck today. Looked at putting in the new ones but discovered I was 3 bushing short...I could have reused 2 but the front bushing was missing too and can't reuse the old one. So old leafs went back in. Going to see if I can get just the 3 missing bushings or if a whole new kit has to be ordered.

At least I got the practice behind me.

Are you saying that you are still missing pieces from your order you placed back in May? Or the bushings were sourced separately?

The bushing were sourced separately...actually last year when I grabbed a shackle lift/level kit, diff cover, etc. The source sells a kit but them come in pieces. So I am hoping they will send me the missing bits.

Edit: I was going to give the truck the nickname "Paint it Black" but now I think "Lucky 13" is better...lol

Size and what kind of tire?
