The Garmin ecoRoute HD ($99.99 USD SRP) is a module that attaches to your vehicle’s OBD II port and allows compatible nüvi GPS units to monitor your vehicles performace and provides detailed system data, including manifold pressure, air intake temperature, timing advance and more.



Garmin Mechanic (Free) is an Android app that allows your Android smartphone to communicate with the Garmin ecoRoute HD module using Bluetooth to gain access to real-time performance data, including live gauges showing RPM, throttle position, intake pressure and more.

With the ecoRoute HD module, Garmin Mechanic also calculates your instant and average fuel economy, and checks your vehicle’s self-test status for emissions certification. The vehicle diagnostics feature reads error codes and resets your vehicle’s Check Engine light, and your vehicle data is logged and easily exported and viewed on your computer.
