Ouch, that gets expensive on iOS. $20 ebay chinese OBD2 to Bluetooth adapter is all you need on Android, app called Torque costs 4 bucks.

Android stuff is covered in these two posts:

Bluetooth modules and software. http://www.cntc.ca/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=3600" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
This is from Garmin: http://www.cntc.ca/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=3598" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

That Bluetooth module from Hong Kong sure is inexpensive. I wonder how much it would cost to ship one here. It's too bad the guy in the YouTube video knew absolutely nothing about what he was talking about.

Also, too bad that the Bluetooth modules don't work with iOS devices. I'm guessing Apple hasn't made the required Bluetooth profiles available to developers. Hopefully that changes in a future iOS update.

You should plug one of these into your new coffee maker, Gino. Might be able to see & correct problems before they occur, and we won't have to deal with the agonizing you went thru picking a new one.

Intresting read, will pass it on to the X-Trail for people with iphones. Thanks. In theroy Morph is quite right see here for Consult cable PLMS Developments, ECUTalk, and ConceptZPerformance come to mind amongst others. I am not sure if the connections would work though, Apple connectivity is not very flexiable as already noted.

I use CarGauge Pro on Android with an ELM327 OBDII BlueTooth connector. Being an open OS, with Android unlike Apple there are now several options. Torque as mentioned is one for OBDII compliant vehicles, there are some issues though as it is not yet fully developed for Consult to my knowledge. This may be of interest regarding Torque http://www.x-trail-uk.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=7640 There are some others about for Nissans, but it is dependent on what Consult you have, and what you want. Some Apps will only connect to the engine ECU, others can read items such as the ABS ECU.

Nissan DataScan is looking in the possibilties as NDS and NDSII is only pc/laptop based. I used DNSII with a dumb connector. It works a treat on anything Consult II. See my post on NDS II http://www.cntc.ca/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=5064
