Plug gap on first gen non-SC?

Anybody know what the proper plug gap is for a first gen 3.3 non-SC X?

Odd that it's different for 00-02 and 03-04 models.

I've read that you should avoid gapping the platinum plugs, as it may damage them, and the NGK plugs spec'd for the xterra should be at the right gap from the factory. YMMV

Just noticed that the manual for the '02 lists the gap as .039-.043 while NGK's website lists .044 as the proper gap... :crazy:
