Need HELP
I lost my 93 Pathfinder but I have the chance to get a 1995 Pathfinder (#4 for me ) or a 2001 6cyl Xterra. Need help ! What should I choose? I know I'll get honest feedback here

Re: Need HELP
Well. I would compare the trucks for condition. Price. Mileage. Etc. Then ask what you really want. Then consider a plus/minus list. If you want to know how the +\- thing works with points ask. Then you will know.

Re: Need HELP
Pathfinder pluses:
-Coil link rear suspension has good articulation with minimal mods.
-Looks awesome.
-You know them well already.
-You might even have spare parts.
-Factory tire rack
-cheap to lift
-tailgate window opens
Negatives:
-Slower
-Frame rots out (you know this already)
-Can only tow 3500lbs
-Tension rod bushings need frequent replacement
-Auto trannies like to drop reverse.
Xterra Pluses:
-Frame doesn't rust
-More power
-better auto trans (01-04 are the HD versions)
-Newer
Negatives:
-Knock sensor problems
-Needs more work to make rear end flex well.
-Weak tie rod adjusters from factory (easily fixed)
-No rear disc brake option
-Rear seat bottoms don't flip up like the wd21
These are just things I've noticed, and may not really be a big deal to people. Of course I might be biased but there are a lot of nice xterras on here.

Re: Need HELP
I haven't owned either of these, but from what I have read Adam has it pretty well covered.
Tell us though what you want from the vehicle?
I don't know that I would worry a lot about the towing differences, from what I have been advised if you want to tow anything of substance you want neither truck.
