Dead Transmission
So first off i would like to thank everybody that helped me at AW this year try and diagnose my dead truck and who lent me tools and hands to figure out what was going wrong. From what i was told by the transmission shop they took about 4lbs of metal bits out of the filter ( which was clogging, which was causing my truck to not go forward). This metal apparently came from the clutch assembly inside the torque converter. The clutch assembly should be able to be manually turned and it was locked tight and destroyed from what i was told. Luckily all the friction plates and hard plates were still good and the gears all looked good so the filter did it's job and kept 90% of the metal filings out of the transmission. So this means new torque convert and seal kit through out. The truck should be back in a few day's or next week sometime.
Again a big thanks to everybody that helped lent support.

Re: Dead Transmission
Glad to hear it's a little less serious than it could have been.

Wow! I am glad you did not have to replace gears and plates!

Re: Dead Transmission
Nice. Hopefully they perform a good flushing of the cooling lines etc.

Agreed, though slightly disappointing. I wanted to see a full Titan powertrain swap.Morpheus wrote:Better than the worst case scenario.
