Re: 12 years! EDIT: Almost 15 years

Hey strangers! I may be checking in less frequently but I’m still rocking an Xterra! Time sure flies and this year will mark 19 years I’ve been a member here and owned an xterra. Wow! Anyhow just wanted to say hi and hopefully a few other old timers come lurking here from time to time and will see t...

Re: 12 years! EDIT: Now almost 15 years!

Bit of a necro post but I couldn't help myself :) A few things have changed in my life but one constant remains: I still have my original black 01 Xterra! Sadly though I think I will be selling her shortly...too many vehicles and she is getting old..time for my 01 X to move on to someone who has the...

Re: Neoprene Seat Covers for 2012 Xterra

Sorry I don't have any pics yet but I wanted to give a bit of a review because Costco has 15% off all coverking seatcovers and car covers May 6-19th. I could have saved myself $60 had I ordered them on sale! Anyhow, the covers are awesome. Neoprene is thick and the seams are tight. Fit is fantastic,...

Re: Neoprene Seat Covers for 2012 Xterra

Amazingly after only 8 days the rear seat covers arrived from California! They look very well made and are a nice thick neoprene. The fronts haven't arrived yet but hopefully they won't be far behind.

Re: Neoprene Seat Covers for 2012 Xterra

When I was pricing out the Cover King covers their selection guide provides options for seats with or without side impact airbags. This would lead me to believe that they provide the cutouts which do not impede the deployment of the airbag. I didn't buy them yet, but I would hope they have consider...

Re: 12 years!

I know it is a sin to post a driveway pic of an Xterra but I haven't had a chance to get her out into her natural offroad habitat yet! So for now, here she is next to my other blue baby!

Re: 12 years!

Well picked up my brand new Xterra today in beautiful blue! Will post some pics shortly. I still have my original 12.5 year old black xterra and plan on keeping her on the road as a winter vehicle for the next few years...just couldn't bear to part with it!

Re: Neoprene Seat Covers for 2012 Xterra

Ahhhh. It is making sense now. I always assumed that the side impact airbags were located in the door, ceiling, or pillar but I am guessing they are in the seat! Makes sense now.

Is it dangerous or is it just so that the label remains visible?

Neoprene Seat Covers for 2012 Xterra

One of the best things I ever did when I got my first Xterra was to put neoprene seatcovers on the front and rear seats. Has anyone got them for their 2012 and if so, where did you get them?

Re: 12 years!

Well Kermit, no worries, a Trail Green one is not in the cards :(. Apparently they have a metallic blue one so that is what I am going with! I'm still not counting any chickens until they hatch though....hopefully the story has a happy ending and I have a new X by the end of the month!

Re: 12 years!

Just out of curiosity - what trim level and colour did you go with for the new X...? :) Good question! I was supposed to be getting a Trail Green with a manual tranny but it looks like the dealership has jerked me around :disapprove: I was working with Dale Downie Nissan in London and I must say th...

out of curiosity, what did your X go for 12 years ago vs a brand new one?
I'd have to check but I think it was about $27K all in. 2001, base model with manual tranny.

Yeah I have to say I am looking forward to that! I think the first gens were 175 so even though it doesn't sound like I wil get much better mileage, I will enjoy the increased hp.

Re: 12 years!

Well I have good news and bad news. Bad news is after almost 12.5 years it looks like I will be parting with my xterra. Good news is I bought another one! Looked around and considered a few other vehicles but in the end I just couldn't bear the thought of life without an xterra! So today I pulled th...

12 years! EDIT: Almost 15 years

Hard to believe but December marks the 12th year of my Xterra and the 12th year of my membership in CNTC (formerly SOXC). Another year with my X and I still don't want to part with it! I don't expect I'll ever have another vehicle that I still enjoy driving every day for more than 12 years! Anyhow I...

Re: After 10 years, maybe Good-bye

I'm a little slow on the uptake and have not been on the board for a looooong time. I'm saddened by the news like the rest of you. Not many of us ol' timers with X's left! I'm glad to hear Jaimie still has his though. I suspect you are still checking in from time to time Don so thought I would say h...
