Re: R50 wheels on first gen X
I finally heard back from the guy with the S/C wheels, looks like I'll end up with them.
Thanks for the help.

Re: R50 wheels on first gen X
The 17" Pathfinder wheels will need to be bored out to fit over the Xterra's front hubs, if I'm not mistaken. Thanks Simon, that's kind of what I thought. I'm also looking at a set of S/C wheels but the seller isn't returning my emails... The search goes on. FYI I'm looking for 16" or 17&...

R50 wheels on first gen X
Iv'e spent days searching the internet for the answer to this question but I couldn't find a definitive answer so here goes... I'd like to know if 2003 Pathfinder LE six spoke 17" wheels will fit my 2002 Xterra. I know the bolt pattern is the same and I think the center bore is the same but I w...

Mine is a first gen 5 speed X. Acceleration is similar to a cement truck! Not complaining, just took some getting used to.

17 inch rims what will work on first gen?
I lucked into a nice set of 17 inch Yokohama snow tires for my 02 X so now I need a set of rims. I've done some research and found that other manufacturers use 17" 6 bolt rims with 5.5 spacing but the size of the center hole, the offset etc. means they wont all work on the Xterra. I know that S...

Has anybody seen......
Just wondering if any Ontario members have seen a 2002 - 2004 Xterra in a scrap yard or know of someone who is parting one out. I generally go to Cookstown Auto Wreckers for stuff but they don't have one. I need the silver lower piece of the front bumper and I'm having a heck of a time trying to fin...

Re: Rear bumper paint
I ended up giving it a few coats of paintable rocker guard, the textured finish hides all of the grinder marks really well. I finished it off with the Duplicolor charcoal bumper paint and it looks great.
Thanks for all of the suggestions.

Re: Knock sensor harness plug question
There should be 2 wires in the harness and the plug. 1 is signal, the other is ground. That's what I thought but the only wire in the loom is a coax type with the center wire going to the sensor connector and the mesh shield just ends and is taped off. I have a buddy who is a very advanced Nissan t...

Knock sensor harness plug question
I did the knock sensor relocate on my 02 Xterra this morning using the original harness and connector as opposed to splicing in the Maxima sub harness. I was able to gain access to the knock sensor through the front while replacing the timing belt and water pump, I took a 2 foot pry bar and placed t...

Rear bumper paint
Just wondering if anyone has repainted the center rear bumper on their gen 1 Xterra? Mine has a bit of surface corrosion on it that I plan to repair so I'd like to hear from others who have repainted theirs for some tips or feedback. Specifically, I'd like to know what brand and colour of aerosol to...

Re: Welcome -- How did you find us??
I've been following the forum since the SOXC days. I've had a 98 Pathfinder for the last 3 years but it's just basic transportation and it's seen better days so I'll be pulling it off the road in September. I just picked up a 2002 Xterra XE 5 speed manual to replace the Pathfinder, I'm really hyped...

Hi all I just joined the forum but have been following it for a while. I've owned many Nissans over the years but this is my first Xterra. The list includes a B11 Sentra, a B12 Sentra a B13 Sentra (still have it) a R50 Pathfinder (still have it) and two D21 pick ups. I've been following the on line ...
