This week I was extorted into paying for a rear brake job, first time in my entire life I have had a shop do brakes for me. Of course they messed it up as my parking brake no longer works. When I brought it back they claimed the cables were "stretched". Sure, but it worked before you idiots.

Not today but I had my exhaust repaired 2x by a shop, and the gasket is blown out again after driving down for the xmas dinner. INFURIATING. I dunno what could be causing it, stopped up secondary cats? Bad pipe alignment?   Blowout out a gasket feels like there's too much restriction downstream? A ...

Have you been working on your X? I don't think I'm going to make AW to be honest.     We are going but the X probably won't make it i haven't had the time to deal with it or deal with the logistics of getting it there.     I'm pretty upset about not going this year but I'll have get the shirts out ...

Rumours are all I ever heard. Nissan really missed the boat on that IMO. They could easily build one on the new Frontier platform and I'm sure it would sell well. But there's probably a lot of compliance crap they have to meet that would make it hard.   When I had to dump a ton of money into my car...

Doing a tranny swap for me is too much work and beyond my skill set,I think it's time to upgrade and get something new? anyone need an 06? It's driveable but not reliable as is.   Yeah that's fair. Finally got the front of the truck stripped down... There's a lot to do and many a spot weld to drill out. Going to make a separate thread about it.

No ambition to work on the X right now... So I freed up the sticking caliper on the Frontier.

Was at a Ford dealer tonight doing some network upgrades, these new pickups are too f-ing huge.

Yeah exactly. In the last week I fixed a massive power steering leak on my brother's frontier, the hose barb that the resevoir line bolts to had developed a pin hole. Luckily there was a 2004 Xterra at the JY and it had the same piece. On the same rig I found a MINT leather steering wheel so grabbed...

Every single time I taken mine in for alignment they tell me it needs new uca/camber bolts. I've never replaced them... I feel like they see an older vehicle coming and they just tell you it needs them without even looking at it.

Seems to be the only vehicle where there is not one aftermarket company that makes one... Insane. Might just bite the bullet.
