alternator?
so I have the surging headlights. Well everything electrical is surging, pulsing whatever you call it. 02 Nissan frontier. So I'm thinking replace alternator. The only thing that seems odd to me is the pulsing stays constant regardless of engine speed, whether I'm idling or highway speed. When at id...

rust
Hey, I have a 2002 frontier with rusted rocker panels. Is it possible to replace the panels? They look to me like the panel goes under the doors and up the back of the cab. I havent been able to find any online sources of body panels for Nissan trucks. I don't really want to do the body work but may...

Re: alarm
It's happened 4 times that I know of, totally random, once Sunday morning then a day later at night, I was wondering if the fob batteries dying would trigger the alarm? But maybe as posted the whole fob is nfg?

belts
Hi, I have a 2002 Frontier with the SC, and my belts need changing. I'd like to use Goodyear belts, but I'm having trouble finding all three sizes, I can find the ac/sc belt, but not the generator belt or the power steering. If someone knew the part numbers or lengths, that would help. Otherwise I c...

Re: VG33ER
So it also seems that my oil pan is rusted and leaking and replacement involves removing the front diff, anyone have experience with this?
I've been pretty lucky the last 6 years with minimal expense involved with this truck, now things are adding up.

Re: VG33ER
Yeah I've read those threads and was thinking of changing the oil, I had to do the knock sensor relocate last year, and this winter I notice the "coffee grinder" noise from under the hood, however my truck only gets started every 2 or 3 days and its 20 or 30 below, so funny noises don't co...

Re: VG33ER
So Milton is the place to go then? Roughly how much time and $$ would be involved in the belt replacement? Is there any other work that I should consider at the same time?

VG33ER
I just had a few questions about the supercharged engine. My truck is an 02 and just passed 120,000km which is pretty low for the year, I think. How reliable have the blowers been on these engines? I've had the truck for 6 years with no real problems, and I'd like to keep it that way. I seen on othe...

Re: wheel hubs...
both hubs are being replaced, there is no chance the wreckers around here would have a Nissan in their yard. I've ordered the Warns, will get them Monday depending on the weather. The truck stays in 4wd for most of the winter, esp this one, so I'd just leave the hubs locked for the winter, no inconv...

Re: wheel hubs...
So now I'm considering Warn premium, is there a reliable source or site to order from? Also would any warranty be valid if the hub was installed on a truck not listed as being for that hub? And can anyone verify if longer studs or bolts are required for installation? And Scott, where was your friend...

Re: wheel hubs...
well if earlier models will work that opens up my options a bit. Right now the only ones I can find listed for the 02 are rugged ridge for $155 a pair from rock auto. Warn has hubs listed for the 2001 Frontier which is 28 spline, 6 bolt, which should fit my truck, but I believe it requires longer st...

Re: wheel hubs...
yeah that's where I'm not sure, Warn lists hubs up to 2001 then nothing after that, so I'm really curious what range of years and models are compatible with a 2002 frontier

Re: wheel hubs...
So it would seem that the hubs are damaged and cannot be rebuilt, there is a plastic ring inside that is broken, I didn't see it, that is what the mechanic said. A new auto hub from Nissan is about $350 and I need 2, another option I found is Rugged Ridge manuals for half that price, and I can find ...

I have a 2002 Frontier 4x4.When I am in 2wd travelling forward and I reach 35 to 40 km/hr there is a metallic rubbing noise consistent with the wheel speed, then a loud clunk and everything is as normal, I can stop and go at any aped, unless I stop and reverse then the same thing will happen once ag...

So my truck wont start, 2002 frontier, battery was good, when I turned the key there was nothing....lights and wipers and everything electrical worked. Checked fuses and tried starting in neutral (auto tranny)Nothing, no clicks or anything. So I took the starter off (pita) and now its on the bench. ...

Re: knock Sensor Relocation
so now i also have the knock sensor code. The truck is an 02 sc 3.3 and the posts ive read all recommend using a maxima ks for relocation with I believe is a 2002 frontier wiring harness, is this correct? If so is the only reason for using the maxima ks cost? I dont want to do the resistor bypass, n...

Re: knock Sensor Relocation
there is quite a variety of ks available if you search for 1999 nissan maxima ks, costing from 10 to over 20, how do you determine which one to get, also can the harness be purchased off ebay as well, or is it necessary to go through the dealer?
