Re: Front Locker $299 (2nd gen X)
Were you able to get the deal, despite it being a 1st gen and despite the date?
I'd like to myself, but the cash isn't there right now.
(I've never done anything with a differential, so I'm of no help. I wouldn't mind being there though, to learn something.)

JAS - cool pic! Thanks for the advice.
CruiserRomey - I forgot to respond earlier - we did have the sleeping level raised from the door.
Lots still to learn, but it'll be fun.

Re: 2014 Winter Camping Trip
That's definitely a great way to try things out and to make sure that Junior has blast too. When things are going well, it's great fun to experience a trip like this both from your own perspective and through a kid's eyes. In my avatar I'm jumping into a pile of snow that later became a quinzhee. 20...

Re: 2014 Winter Camping Trip
It looks like it was a great trip. I just got back from a little one night trip - my first time in winter - learned lots. On the trail http://www.wildernessadventurers.com/photos/docs/1258/0/McCrae%20Lake%20Quinzhees%20(Feb%202014)%20-%20B%20-%20009.jpg Quinzhee (two of us used this, but it could ha...

Re: Front Locker $299 (2nd gen X)
NixX posted the following today (Dec. 2, 2013) I tried to get out into the snow this weekend but it didn't work out the way I'd have liked. It stayed warm until today so I had to climb a FS road from the pass to find some rained on snow. Long story short, I still liked the way it behaved, no problem...

Re: Front Locker $299 (2nd gen X)
Well, understandably none of us is confident that the X and the Lokka will play nicely togehter in the winter. We wish they would, but ther is no proof - no video evidence, no reports of it ever being tried in the snow. On thenewX.org a member named NixX (of Fall City, Washington) has had one instal...

Front Locker $299 (2nd gen X)
There is something available on http://www.thenewx.org that seems fantastic, but many of you would know better than I would. I'm just posting this to get the word out there in case someone is interested. There's a 2 week window. Shipping from Australia is included. Here's the link http://www.thenewx...

That would be me on both counts. But it sounds like I wouldn't have been able to help even if I had known about it in good time.Morpheus wrote: Hope someone out your way is available to lend a hand.

Very nice
I don't know your mom or aunt, but I suspect they'll be on to you at "verbal diarrhea".
Is that as far as you wanted to string them along before they're reaching for the rolling pin, hand bag, etc. ?
