Re: Cant start
Yeah... and at the border, the truck was transferred from AAA to CAA flatbed. The quicksand muddy water killed it. I'll let them chime in the rest coz I myself wasn't too sure what happened

The place where we wheeled had some gooey mud/sand water. Not fun at all and never going back there anymore... I'm pretty sure its the MAF that got...

Re: Overland to Australia
Keep some cash in your pocket when driving through Malaysia and Indonesia... sometime the cops stop you for no reason, and its either you give him some allowance for his lunch or he'll give you hassle... also you may know it already, but try to avoid out-of-town night driving in Indonesia (where I'm...

Re: Newb info stuff
From my newbie experience... Don't clean the mud off the dash or window while driving on the trail coz you gonna hit big rocks :x! Watch the trail Don't carry two spare tires unless you gonna do hardcore stuff. First trip to Minden I had 20L of water and two spares. And then I saw how high the water...

Re: Insurance & your mods - Do you divulge?
No I didn't tell my insurance company. In the States, I signed up with Progressive and everything was done online or through the mail. I don't even know my insurance broker coz I chatted with different people at various instances. But good thing is that Michigan is a no-fault state. This means that ...

Started the pathy after one month of being parked outside... Truck started like a champ.

Re: Battery Maintainer
If the yellow top is dead, can the car be jump-started and let the battery be recharged by driving on highway for an hour or something? Will it still hold its charge as good as previously or does it mean getting a new one? I have the same question coz I'm going back home for three weeks in December....
