Re: Member Spotting
Been seeing a black newer xterra on Davis Drive then heading north on 48 then east on harold rd. Notice he has a black CB whip on the back with small CNTC sticker on the bottom left corner of his back window. I passed you last night when you were eating a apple. LOL

Re: Coolant leak
It looks like there is a leak from the throtle body element. Can this be removed without taking the throtle body off itself? I believe the o-ring just needs replacing? Anyone know the size of oring?

Coolant leak
Today I noticed a bit of coolant on the snow. Most of it was on the drivers side with a drop or two on the passenger side. I took a quick look but couldn't see any leaking from in the engine bay. I will have a closer look from below. Anyone have any suggestions as to where it might be from? After dr...

Door locks
Does anyone have problems with their door locks not opening fully? Or sometimes the door will only open about 1/2" and is locked? I sprayed the weather striping and lock cylinders with a silicone spray but it almost seems like the mechanism where the inside flip lock is might need to be sprayed...

Re: New E-Test rules for 2013 - real world experience
Just checking back to see if anyone has any fails due to using the resistor mod for the knock sensor? I have a drive clean test coming up and I'm just curious if this has caused anyone to fail? I'm going to hook up a scanner this weekend to see if I have any underlying codes.
thanks

Re: Rad & tranny milk shake? Overheating when idle
No oil in the coolant. I was just curious if the problem is common and if people put seperate tranny coolers in. I washed the rad and ac condensor last weekend. Let the truck run for 20min with ac on high I couldn't get it to overheat. The rad and condensor didn't seem dirty.

Rad & tranny milk shake? Overheating when idle
Just wondering if it's a common with the rad and tranny fluild mixing from within the rad? Or if anyone runs a seprate tranny cooler? I'm debating if it's worth it to add the seperate cooler? Maybe another question my truck was overhaeting a bit the last few days when it was idle with the A/C on. I ...

Re: maremont mufflers
Looks like the Canada number is not in service. I called the head office and they told me Maremont themselves do not have lifetime warranties. She told me it was likely Best Buy automotive that offered the warrnety. So, looks like I'm screwed.

Yes, that's what I meant, best buy automotive. After pulling the product they honored the warrenty up to one year after that they don't deal with the product anymore. I guess I'll have to contact the Canadian office.

maremont mufflers
Hey guys,
I just noticed my muffler will need to be replaced soon. I have a maremont with lifetime warranty. The problem is I bought it from best buy and they no longer sell that line of product. Does anyone know of other automotive companies that sell this product?

in cabin air filter
Hey guys, I have a 2003 SC x. I went to replace my incabin air filter and noticed there was not one in there. I have read that you can cut the plastic slots and and put one in. When I went to put in the filter I noticed it was about 1" to long, the filter is actually hitting the back of the hou...

Re: New E-Test rules for 2013 - real world experience
What about if I'm bypassing the knock sensor using the resistors? I don't think it has the knock sensor issue code? or does it? Will this cause an issue?

Re: horn beeps every so offten
do you think it could be the main battery or the transponder battery? Would it hurt if I took the main battery out and put it on a charge?
