I bought my 05 three years ago, and one of the first things I did was the rad bypass. No issues at all, and I've done some light towing. Trans fluid is still clear, and no burnt smell.

Go ahead and do it! If the rad fails, it's going to cost a lot to get the transmission replaced!

I doesn't look like it's going to cover the transmission in case of failure. I've done the bypass, and don't see any reason to hook it back up to the original.

I bought a complete set at Canadian Tire, but I have never seen them sold individually....
