Re: Truck Running Rough. Disty Time?
Well thats good that the boost is stable and that you dont think thats your problem because its pricey. As for the oil there is a bolt on the front of the sc and just take it out and put a pneumatic fluid extractor in the drain/fill hole and extract old oil. Then put oil in it till it comes too the ...

Re: Truck Running Rough. Disty Time?
Those symptoms sound just like my truck and my supercharger is pooched. Replacing it next week. When my truck is up to operating temp and I lift the hood you can hear the sc bearings (Im assuming) or gears are making lots of noise. Put your ear up to yours and listen if its making noise. Re: 1st Gen Xterra
Was there a particular problem with the front suspension on the 1st Gen? As for towing, the only thing I would tow is a couple of sleds or a couple of motorcycles nothing that large. I do want to get into a bit of off roading, so it's kind of a catch 22, I don't want to spend too much on something ...

Re: 1st Gen Xterra
Front suspensionon first gen is pretty tough... No rack and pinion to break either, or auto transmission oil/coolant mixing together. But Ive also heard of sencond gen's having rear diff and rear driveshaft problems. With first gen in my opinion is a good solid truck other than the head gaskets. If ...

Those marks look like someone has been in there before. Are you the origional owner? Looks like someone was beating the crap out of it with a chisel, or didnt have air hammer skills and slipped off a few times.
