yea, i need to make a pair for my metric and standard sets i carry on the trail. i was thinking about it yesterday when the plastic cracked in the cold. there are a few canvas repair shops that do boat tops ect. they may be able to make some- i will look into it, using my exiting pouches as a template

:thumbup: drove the chevy with less than 3/4 tank of gas for a few weeks till the check engine light went out. got an e-test (pass) then with a quick swerve ten min down the road turned the light back on again... LOL

glad you got it fixed. sucks that it broke. gotta put a bulge in the hood and mount it up high so it lasts. mines 12 yrs old and i might change the bearings soon

come on out. there is a meet thursdays 7-8pm start at dixie and burnamthorpe south of the 401 10 min. I am the one with the s10 zr2 ( that they love to hate). we're a great group to wheel with, come get involved

all excelent points guys. don't forget communication and navigation tools. paper/waterproof maps, gps, cell phones, cb radio, and as always a properly maintained FIRST AID KIT. your health is just as importaint as your trucks. :stickwack:

rear springs from deaver are on order. with a milatary wrap. front end bushing kit is in at nat 4wd. custom built sliders are drying after the last coat of paint (satin black). alu rear diff cover on order, as well as vent visors. skid plates ahve been re-inforced to double plate in the critical are...

put it in the shop. tomorow i will replace the fr/l wheel bearing. next week mabey new rear leafs.

My doors freeze every year-all winter long. i tried silicone-didnt realy work. locks freeze all the time- even with oil, wd-40, ect. i think its just the way water gets down the window. my secondary door seals at the bottom are stretched- they stick out the bottom of the door. mabey i will try again...

charged the battery in the S10 since i havent fired it up in almost 2 months. took about 3 hours on trickle charge. ordered a baja kit from California. it has 4 inch flared fiberglass front fenders and box sides. cant wait to get it, i'll need a bunch of hands to lift the box off in the spring. then...

17 mpg is what i get all the time loaded or empty 2001 S10 ZR2, it will likely take more than 1000kms for the motor to loosen up. mine took about 25000 to wear in. its funny how the new big trucks get way better milage than the small ones. oh well i didnt buy a truck for fuel economy, i bought it fo...

try general scrap metals- motors(electric), cast alumiminum and copper are worth lots. lots of electrical and refrigeration suppliers just throw this stuff out. if you ask them you might get to rummage. good luck.
