Re: Heat Shield Rattle?
hmm... I had heard welding them was a waste 'cause they'd just break loose again, so I just cut them off... now hearing that yours are still holding up I'm regretting that a bit. oh well. Do skids cover them?

Re: IFS Locker?
There's some curcular logic here: Under hill climbing conditions, significant weight transfer goes to the back, meaning that even if the front were locked, it would just unload both front wheels, sending more power to the back, overloading the rear. So, while I agree with locking the front for rock...

Re: K&N Filters
I recently replaced my K&N filter with an Amsoil washable filter: http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/eaa.aspx Haven't washed it yet, but so far I'm happy with it. Truck feels/sounds/seems the same as with the K&N, no oil to worry about, and it is supposed to clean better. (Also my K&N came...

Yeah, alternator is a good upgrade target anyway, the stock one is weak. Let us know how much having it re-wound is when you find out.

Re: Micheal want to install a new sound system in the truck
I also wanted to clarify this I think this is where having caps come in, those batteries don't seem to be doing the trick, not enough reserve juice for what's being drawn. I'm no expert but until you can get a capacitor I would not use the subs to avoid problems. A Kinetik HC600 has many times more...

Re: Micheal want to install a new sound system in the truck
Forget the 12v plug, what about the 2 non-button plastic disks right next to the plug, which I can only assume are for future top secret features? I plan to put a nitrous switch in one and use the other for the hydraulics now where to mount the the button for the ejection seat?

Re: Micheal want to install a new sound system in the truck
Ive found that running the subs at 3/4 power (and there still not even broken in), after about 20 or 30 minutes of city driving, my dashlights and headlights will dim considerably on those heavy bass hits, but it seems just turning it back down to 1/2 volume for about 5 minutes and then turning it ...

Re: Micheal want to install a new sound system in the truck
nothing worse for your ears than going from relative quiet to very loud in an instant, as with gunfire, or turning on your car in the morning only to find that the person that drove before you left the stereo cranked :stickwack: You have likely lost a lot of your high frequency hearing which can pro...

I care more about not killing myself or injuring other people, then some loud music  . Thank you for the very valid points though. (p.s. way to get me in further trouble ! :rasp:  ) You sound like a reasonable, considerate person  Let me add my 0.02 cents as well though; Bass...

this is not a thread about beer. Has anyone done anything to eliminate the cold air that comes in the doors (like at the lock and window switches)? Or am I the only one with this problem? I've got hot air cooking my right foot but cold air from the door blowing out when at highway speed... just look...

wherever you take it, make sure they put in the right amount... seems every time I take mine somewhere they try to overfill it.

Re: Stickers For Sale
I just signed up for one round and asked to have it sent, but then realized that adventure weekend is coming up pretty soon, maybe you can hold on to it for me and I will pay and pick it up at AW, or if I can't make it I will then paypal the money plus the extra to have it mailed if that's ok?
