Re: Billstein Snap ring failure...

Heres some old pics I found that might help explain. Im worried the shock might be too corroded for the snap ring, but it is stainless maybe it can be brushed off. There could be a few 1000lbs? maybe? on this little snap ring under a hard hit. I'll take it out when i get home, try to clean up the gr...

Re: Billstein Snap ring failure...

This little snap ring sits into a groove on the shock body which holds up the spring perch. Theres a fews grooves along the shock for height adjustment... This stupis ring takes all the weight, the groove is less than 1mm deep I've thought of welding it... but I dont know whats inside or what kind o...

Thought I'd take the front wheels off do a good once over, grease BJ's, slider pins, check everything before AW. Lowered it... and BOOM drops to the ground. Any redneck solutions, sug...

Re: What did you do to your rig today?

Running the same borla in 2.25" and resonators. Love it. I need to add a Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonator into the tail pipe. I don't want to loose any of the sound below 1500 RPM but the "pooping" and "blatting" at higher RPMS can sound like its straight piped. :irked: Have 2...

Re: What did you do to your rig today?

Yes, decent travel, and yes. Lack of traction, severe axle hop after the header / UpRev install, and handling when trailering were the main reasons. As much as I'm loving then on road I'm worried about them off road. My rocker panels and frame are covered in scars, these hang down too much and in a...

Re: Fingers Still Crossed for Titan Diesel

Ok, sounds like the l4 cummins has 'enough' power for the Titan but maybe not enough to give the other trucks a slap in the face. The v6 diesel in the ram scares me a little, it's about time dodge quits with the 'Hemi' jango - every motor has a 'hemispherical cylinder head' since the 60's. Never lik...

Even though I was abusing it... I'm still surprised a V6 and tired old clutch with over 200k would snap it. Lesson learned... Expensive lesson.. .

Re: What did you do to your rig today?

Install the shaft on the wrong side? Might want to talk to NismoJunky :fist: Too late got ARB locker and 4 new shafts from the scrap yard - 2 longer ones from a non locker m226 and 2 staggered ones from the locking m226. Got the extra shafts to experiment on which combo grabs the splines the most. ...

Re: Tooth contact help!!

I usually sub out gear set up. Especially for GMs that use the stupid crush sleeve. If I am seeing that correctly, your TIR is .005" or less. Did you find any spec to suggest that is too much? That's the thickness of a pc of paper so not a lot. Did you perform the same readings on the carrier ...

I might be over my head here, I realize I might need some help... I'm installing 4.56 gears on a Dana 44 with E-locker (M226) As I got closer and closer I realized something isnt right... On one side of the Ring gear the pattern is digging to deep but when I rotate the whole thing and check opposite...
