WTF Xterra has black box, look what i found on other xterra forum WARNING - When my tech hooked up the diagnostic PC to my truck, he could see a LOT of data. He said they wouldn't hold it against me or tell my insurance company anything, but I don't know that all Nissan techs and service departments...

The only way to get it out is to take deck out and open it, there is no magic trick. I've done it on GM, next CD you put in will do the same thing, so if you cant get new one on a warranty just get aftermarket deck, cheaper and better.

So far i am SOL checked some alternator places - nothing, they can rebuild mine, but that is not what i want. Called junk yards - nada. Looks like the only place to get new or rebuild one is dealer

Ok long story- short my alternator is going and i like to get spare one. 06 xterra 4.0l motor. What i need to know is actual nissan part # stamped on alternator. Just in case i get one from junk yard, i wanna make sure they dont sell me any nissan alternator. Thanks.

Last time we went there even AT tires with diff locker did not do well, there was very muddy hill, I think you will need mudders for that trail and skids, a lot of rocks.
