Re: Here's a weird one...
Are your hazards flashing as well? If so, your fob may need a new battery and/or the contacts cleaned.
Mine has done that a couple of times, randomly locking.

Re: Water/Humidity Sensitivity : No Fire/Stall
Yes, coil is integrated into the distributor. Check the large flat connector to the distributor. When I changed mine out, I had put that back on, and I swore it clicked, yet, it hadn't. It was sitting loosely on the distributor, just enough for the pins to make contact. I took it off and had a sligh...

Re: Power Steering stiff
Try Lucas Power steering stop leak. It's actually pretty good stuff. It also works on hard spots and noise. Essentially, empty out your reservoir and fill with Lucas. My brother had a Taurus with a horribly loud PS pump and hard spots that quieted and smoothed out appreciably with this stuff. http:/...

Nothing is irreparable, Scott. You should know that after seeing all the WD21 surgeries over the years.

Nope that does not help your argument AT ALL. Are you sure it was this thread you posted in? You know, forgetfulness is another sign of old age. Do you find yourself getting up from the couch to go and get something from the kitchen only to get there and forget why you went to the kitchen in the fi...

Wouldn't that still be under warranty? Even if not, I'd assume that to be a dealer only part.

Re: Under Truck Spare Tire and Aftermarket Rear Bumper
I have no idea if I can fit a stock spare under there at this point. Never tried, and don't care. To be honest, if you're keeping your hitch, You should forget the receiver, and just go with a couple of d-rings on the bumper. If you decide to rework things in the future, it's not like you can'...

Re: Under Truck Spare Tire and Aftermarket Rear Bumper
Michel, My bumper does go back from the "angled" portion as shown in your 2nd diagram above. With the hitch, it would need to have that support, or it would "peel" the bumper forward upon towing, or recovery. Is there not a structural beam inside the bumper you're having made tha...

Experience. I overgreased a set of auto hubs on my first Pathfinder, and had the same issue. Random grinding/clunking.
And Google also told me so.

Re: wheel hubs...
Your hubs are sticking. Take them off, clean, and LIGHTLY grease them. If they've been heavily greased, this can cause the issue you're experiencing. I use Fluid Film to lube my hubs (mine are manual, but it should work well for autos as well)

Re: Stock Airbox vs Volant
Michel, the most likely issue with your airbox is due to your body lift. I bent the brackets that hold the airbox in place, and tilted the outlet down slightly toward the motor. That allows me to open and close the box easier as the intake tubing isn't at such an extreme angle.

If you do so now, we'll carry it over for next year as well. Not to worry. It's not an automated process. Just donate for next year.
