I'd suggest Weakest Link if you can't find an appropriate filed/pit/quarry. Its short enough to walk it and run it over and over, and there's no trail just a string of obstacles. It could also be done at South Wind in the mud pit and on Razer.

There's probably a number of vehicles that are significantly underrated by the manufacturer. It could be to keep them in or out specific classes of vehicles, marketing reasons, or frankly that they didn't think that the market needed the capability. The Xterra could have been one of those vehicles.
