Re: What did you do to your rig today?
Looks like your approach angles will be good. Might be a little tight on straight on stuff. I would move the strap for the winch to a higher level.
But very nice!

Why is that? Now I'm confused. Not that that's hard to do.

What did you do to your rig today?
Had to change out some gaskets on the passenger side exhaust. Couple heat shields needed to be ripped off due to rattling. That meant taking off the cat to get at the crap. Not a big deal but sort of a PITA. As the truck hits its 16 year mark little bits are falling off. But still running like a bug...

Re: Engine temperature on 3.5 Pathy
The other thing to check is the plastic across the top of the rad. You might not notice a small crack that could be opening and losing a bit of rad fluid. Easy enough to look for, and probably not the problem,as it seems you figured it out. But a small crack would stop the rad from being able to suc...

Re: P1320
A quick Internet search suggests there is a bearing that is replaceable but I can't find any links to buy said bearing.
Another problem is that it is the coil in mine that is going - hence the code. I don't think you can buy the coil.

I dunno about that. When the spring on the bottom is distorted and the entire thing seems f'd I don't know if a bearing replacement would cut it.
But let us know.

Re: P1320
Well, after all the dry cold weather, the dizzy crapped out today. Stalled on the way through town (Fergus). Managed to fire it up and get to the beer store and come home and replace the thing. All seems good now. What I did discover is that the old dizzy wasn't rotating cleanly. Had some issues whe...

Re: What's your first vehicle?
Surprisingly, the SAAB was great! Two door. And the seats threw back quite a bit. I loved the key down on top of the transmission hump. The Civic was the same for space. Not so bad. Two doors get away with a great deal - but if you needed folks in the back things got bad. Sort of liking get a P/U wi...

Re: What's your first vehicle?
Good post question! I can't remember all the years of the vehicles any more. Or even exact model numbers - for some cars it doesn't matter. When it does, the year is mentioned. First vehicle was a Honda Civic. 1500S. Probably a 1985 or so which I bought around 1990. In grey. I had it for about 6 hou...

Re: P1320
So I haven't had a chance to replace the dizzy. But I did the wires, cap, and rotor. Today is rain and lots of damp. No issues. The truck is running better than ever. Guess I'll keep the new guy as a spare until I get issues again.

Re: Rad fluid leak
This has been fixed. I tightened a few bolts, and with a fair bit of humming and hawing, used a 1/4 bottle of copper rad fluid stop leak. The engine has over 400,000 on it. I figured it would be fine.
No issues.
