Re: D22 Possible for the next North American Frontier

I think the demographics for this truck exists, itll be a different niche in n.America. there are a lot of these navara s in s.america and they've done well. its a work truck that'll get the job done and for less, pretty much ni...

very cool kdj. thanks for sharing. this is fun for the kids. once witnessed a snapper lay eggs and hoped to see the wee ones come out. you rarely see the babies in the wild.

Re: Frame Rot Prevention

I've heard of some guys that drill holes at certain key points (that wont affect structure) in the frame to allow it to drain properly. but this was with older trucks and not sure if it can apply to newer frames. I like the oil spray and just keep it cleaned and hosed down after runs method, simple,...

Re: Fingers Still Crossed for Titan Diesel

GM is trying to kill the diesel pickup market... so they asked their oil company buddies to jack the prices up. makes sense. throw Ford in there as well. if the Japanese guys have to go to bed with cummins to bring diesels in, guess we'll have to settle for that. stupid all around as they already h...

well put Jas. i'd rephrase to say "…just because it's other people's perception based on their own outside marker of comfort.." lol. empowering indeed. and at the end of day, i'm just trying to teach the boy some things that'll hopefully help him with life down the road, like having grit a...

Re: 2014 Winter Camping Trip

definitely! a good compromise when convincing the wife who thinks i'm crazy and combining that with needing "me" time when it's hard to go out with the boys and leaving the wife behind with 3 kids. so, win win for us. just gotta convince the wife again to see if i can pull a similar trip o...

Re: 2014 Winter Camping Trip

awesome info Jas! thanks dude! agreed on the gear hunting, but a fun process! with the 5 year old, I definitely don't expect him to hike the trip so I'm preparing to pull his arse around, but on short trips. it might be a bit of a stretch with gear plus him..so we'll see.. I have a pair of -9 marmot...

Re: 2014 Winter Camping Trip

Hey Jas, would you ever consider taking your oldest on one of these trips? or at least an overnighter, or have you done it already? I've heard the same thing about the sled when it comes to tight spots, pros and cons I guess. (I picked up a decent one at atmosphere and I can easily pull the 3 and 5 ...
