Xmas went quick. Spent 2 weeks with my parents and went by quick. I also had a week off back in Quebec and spent much of it with friends and family to catch up what I missed for Xmas and New Years party. 2025 has been slow so far, been gaming a lot. Work is also very slow and likely to be for the next several weeks. Been playing with my old Yellow Top to see if we can bring some life back into it. I might bring in the seats for the Mazda2 next week and replace the heated seat pads as the drivers side one wanted to catch on fire. I think it's the rubbing from a belt over the years that caused the short.

How was replacing the heated seat pad? I think i need to do that in my VW. The passenger side one has shorted and smells like fire (there was a recall, they already fixed it once but now they won't anymore lol).

I haven't done it yet. I installed aftermarket pads years ago. I had done it in mine, and a few gen1 X`s back in the day. The Mazda2 has no heated seat option, so I'm replacing aftermarket with aftermarket. Unsure how replacing OEM with generic aftermarket would work. I got the seat unbolted and it's in the truck, so I'll likely be starting that today.
