hi folks,

romey here. it's been a while. forum looks great. John, aka Bush Pig, passed away this summer.

just thought i'd share it here for those who knew John. I'm also trying to help the family sell his Xterra. the family could definitely use the funds now. 2 kids.

i don't have posting privileges so hope you don't mind me putting some basic deers on the rig here.

300K kms / auto / some mods / still runs strong / mild rust in the usual places / located in Hamilton (can't remember the year right now)

asking $2000 obo. it would make for a nice wheeling truck for sure. i'll try and post pics soon.

pm me or post up for more deets.

hope you guys are doing well.

romey

sad, and still grieving my best friend's passing, but life has to move on and I need to help his family out as best as i can. his little guy is only 4.

Sorry to hear. I met him at AW and he was a cool guy.

From what his profile on here says, the truck is a 2005, if that helps.

Hi Romey,

I just wanted to pass along my condolences to you and John's family. John was such a great guy. I noticed in some of his FB pics that were posted remembering him, he was wearing his CNTC tee-shirt... Made me a little proud. He gave me his headlamp one year, because every year I tried to win one at our AW raffle, but could never snag it. I've used it camping and at a few night races, and thought of him this summer when I pulled it out.

Good luck with the sale, if you want set up a post with all the details and pictures, and I have no problem moving it to the buy and sell section. Just message me or a mod.

So sorry to hear the news. Our deepest condolences to you and his family.

For the FS post, create one in a forum where you can. One of us will move it to the right forum.

There is also a FB group page if you would like to post there as well (https://www.facebook.com/groups/cntc.ca/). We will keep our ears open for anyone who is looking.

Good luck with the sale.

thanks for the kind words everyone (and sorry to dampen the mood in the welcome section)

will try the FB group as well. Will also get more info on the Xterra (needs minor stuff) but it's all there running and working. It's been highway driven mostly and not really wheeled. lot's of good memories with John and the X on all our car camping trips with the kiddos.

thanks Pezzy. John had a big heart and always helped people! such a kind soul. thanks for sharing that piece. :)

i'll try and put something together. we have a good friend who's also a mechanic and worked with John and knows more deets on the rig. it's been sitting but he boosted it and it ran fine.

will be in touch.

Hey Romey, my deepest condolences to you, your good friend, and his family. I think you introduced me to him at a SONTT meet a few seasons back if I recall.

All the best going forward.

Sad for sure. Hits home when my little guy is also 4.

Thanks for posting Romey. Hope to see you at our Christmas Party or our next wheeling adventure.
