PS. Everyone who is coming over from NTC, fomerly SOXC, no need to tell us about that... (I can see the smartass posts already!) You can however post how you found the old board before migrating here!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Most people know I found this site when my ex bought an Xterra... I decided he was having too much fun, so I joined about a month later... we wheeled together in his truck for a while, when once again, I wanted to have my own fun, so I bought a 99.5 pathy and now I'm wheeling my own rig! :woot:

I went shopping for a child seat friendly Honda,(to replace a civic SIR and a regular cab 4x4 chevy) and found a child seat friendly X instead. I went searching for a rear tire carrier, and came across a thread about Bender's bumpers, the more I read, the more I interacted, the more I interacted with folks on the site, the more I felt at home, so I stayed....

this new site is brilliant, and being able to contribute, even if only being a member is great.

as a friend once said. love me....love my X  (just want to watch how I say that to my missus)

I think Pezzy orgininally sent me the link for soxc, but i just trolled it and didn't sign up until it was NTC. I found Pezzy because i was looking for mounting hardware for my bent brush guard and i came across Simon and her on the NPORA website

Well it all started when our second girl came along and we realised that the 2 door pickup wasn't gonna cut it for a family of four with a large dog. I needed a new truck and was told that whatever was bought it had to have 4 doors. At first I wanted a full sized pick-up (I am a Dodge boy) but having trouble with the features I wanted at an interest rate I wanted.

Anyways, one day I remembered seeing smaller 4 door pick-ups and thought of the ford and a nissan. I was going to start looking on the weekend when I just happened to drive by a used car lot that had my yellow Frontier. After a drive and a few repairs it was mine.

I didn't become aware of the Club until I ran into Jay at the timmies in O'ville (with some dirt of his X). We had a quick chat I signed up. Having a blast since then.

It was pretty simple: I got an Xterra and googled "Nissan Xterra." This club came up, and I said, "Hello."

Then on the way home from bagpipe band camp one day I passed by some guy's house in Fergus. There were a bunch of Xs parked out front, somebody waved, so I stopped and said, "Hello." One of the guys said his name was Bender (in that Darth Vader, "Luke, I am your father" kind of way...)

And my transformation was complete; I had moved to The Dark Side.
