Don't tell me you are giving up on your baby already. If it's not your dd this is the perfect time to learn to wrench on things. Check out car-part.com and look for a used motor then spend the money you would have put into labor on tools and swap it yourself. Sure it may take time but you don't exactly have a deadline.
Yeah, my stubborness reared its ugly head, Towing it underground for the winter tomorrow. Plan is to rip out and replace the interior and then get the other stuff done.

Did you get the engine replaced? I have a couple of VG30s laying around if you need one. But I am in Ottawa. Mileage is on the higher side but they both ran well (truck being parted out).

Post up some pics! Those are still my favourite of Japanese trucks.

Ended up getting the engine rebuilt (remanufactured) since I couldn't find any VGs that weren't a hassle or super expensive (you should have heard Nissan's prices)

I documented the entire journey here:

Awesome, that's quite something. What is the next plan for it?

And wow, on that trailer tire.

Pavement princess for the next little bit. Just got it fixed so not looking to risk breaking it so soon.

If the Oblivion 80s & 90s car show happens this year I'll enter and see how that goes.

I'd sure love to see it sometime. Definitely bring it out to a coffee meet when we're allowed to have those again.

Nope, but I want to. My fondness for 80s and 90s Nissan trucks will never die. Will always have to have at least one in the fleet.

A buddy of mine had an old diesel model and he used to get around 55 miles per Imperial gallon (46 US mpg)
