One of our employees got nabbed in Milton several years ago. After stopping the vehicle, police took his info, and made him drive straight to the Mohawk casino where they had a complete inspection station set up in their overflow parking lot.

From what I remember he failed for e brakes inop, but don't remember the outcome. I think he was allowed to drive away, but not sure the rest of the details.

Ron, see the pic of the jeep in the first post, I'm thinking of replicating that some how. Not sure how yet...

It should be interesting to see how you get a jeep-like fender on the X.

I was thinking something like an exo-skeleton tubing around the wheel opening (anchored to the frame?). Sort of based on the idea about the mudflaps I posted...then again maybe not...need a good tube bender

I have a tube bender, I just need someone that knows how to bend tubes that can either bend the tubes for me, or teach me how to bend tubes in my tube bender.

Is it really a tube bender or is it a pipe bender?

I'm running HID's, and I get no more or less flashed, I'd say less actually, then when I was running my Silverstars.

Here's my buddy's X with the garden edging in the rear

But here I have 33's as well on stock offset rims, and they tuck in nicely and legally.

I'd consider those. The only reason the new truck has flares is that it came with them, if I was taking the truck offroad they'd be off.

Agent orange has some fenders that the previous owner made. For home made they are pretty good. Not sure where you would get that plastic though.

So I have been through this. I had a Jeep with 31inch 15:50’s Mikey Thompson’s cruising down lakeshore. Cop had a car pulled over and yanked me for hearing me coming. He checked his radar and had nothing on me and I was clean on everything else. Held me for 30mins and decided to hit me with tires outside of the fender. Had to pay a fine and in the end I got Bush Whacker flares. Still makes me mad that he had to find something wrong to save face.

When was this? Recently?

How far out were the tires?

How much was the fine?

I've driven past several MTO trucks this summer, and several police cars, one of which was a York region officer that slowed down and paced right beside my truck for 20 seconds or so before driving off.

I was being hopeful that the police were mainly targeting big diesel trucks with tires so far out they could have a wheel bearing fail at any time.

There's a lot of heat on jeeps as well. I think you may get away with it more with the x as it doesn't look heavily modified. There still a potential there for you to get one but your truck looks stock enough to not warrant the 3rd glance.
