Dreaded catalytic converter questions

Post by va7bgr »

USA import 2005 Frontier Crewcab Nismo model 4x4 with 4.0 L engine
161,000 miles on the engine
Previous owner replaced the oem primary cats with aftermarket and butchered the welding job.
Nissan and local shops want around $2200 to replace the primary cats, $3500 for all 4 cats replaced

So I looked at Rock Auto and they have some Walker and Eastern catalytic converters that I could buy for a lot less.

Nissan Parts Puller LLC will sell me a set of 4 cats made by Global Exhaust for $660 canadian
Has anyone used Global exhaust cats

Or
Does anyone else have any other recommendations
I am located in British Columbia if that helps at all

Thanks

Do you have a lordco near you? I had good luck with them when I was out there.

Never heard of that brand before, assuming they're from NPP they are used?
