Old New Guy. Or is that New Old Guy

Post by Cobrastrike »

Well, I have finally taken the plunge (and not in my birthday suit) and migrated to the new board. For those not in the know, I joined SOXC back in 2002 shortly after purchasing my Silver Ice 03 Xterra. Like many others here, I was looking for information on the X from within Canada and stumbled upon the site. The rest, as they say, is history.
Originally from the GTA, I am now living in London (and still looking for local spots to wheel around here). I've run across a few members here although we haven't had regular coffee meets like we did in the GTA. Hopefully we can try to arrange something later in the year. Last years get together was a big flop but am willing to try again!

Hey Mark, nice to see you came over. :woot:

How's life in London. There seems to be more members (4 or 5 by my last count) from that area now. You guys should finally have a coffee meet.
Watch it! I'm keeping my eye on you.

We actually did have a successful meet here. I think it was about 3 years ago at the Tims by the 401 & Wellington. I think there were about 8 trucks there. Pete may remember. Had members from the GTA, London and Sarnia turn up.
Am adjusting very well to the new digs here. Working for General Dynamics Land Systems (still trying to get a check ride in a LAVIII). Love the slower pace out here as compared to Toronto.

Good to see you here; I sent you a PM on the old board the day of the switch to this board (i know, smart) to let you know I think I saw you (based on the license plate) saturday at by home depot... I was the guy in the stock silver 02 gawking at your truck. Pretty sweet X! :worthy: I must have missed the post for the last meet in London, I'll be checking the board more often now.

we should be able to get something together here in London now, there are a couple more of us around.
Only crooked politicians and criminals fear an armed population.
