Any one know where i can find these tires?

Post by DiscoPete »

so i was browsing on tires that i want to get for the season and i found these and i think they will be the best bang for the buck, thats if i can find them :stickwack:

there gateways buckshot mudders, i came across them just on a different fourm and only heard good thing about them besides the noise.

if any one knows where i can find these that would be great.

heres a full review

and if not any one knows of a similar tire that can be found please let me know

Looks like the original Gateway Buckshot Mudders are not being made anymore. They don't list them on Gateway's website. One would have to be leary anyways about a tire company that's predominantly making golf cart tires.
Here's a supplier but it looks like they only have 36's left in stock:
http://www.ntwonline.com/BUCKSHOT_RADIA ... 29C939.cfm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

From the reports I've read about these tires they seem to be monsters offroad but most people have recommended the Maxxis Bighorns as a good, cheap alternative:
http://www.offroaders.com/reviewbox/sho ... =692&cat=3" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

But these people may have been confusing the Maxxis Buckshot Mudders with the Gateway Buckshots which are far different. I guess it all depends on how much on road/off road driving you'll be doing. There are a lot of tires to choose from most of which give you the same off road performance but differ tremendously on road and wear rate on pavement.

Good luck man!!! ;)

They probably have good tread life because they are a bias ply tire; they tend to use harder rubber compounds in those tires.

They may have awesome tread life, but a bias ply tire isn't the friendliest for a daily driver; what you gain in tread life, you will give up in ride quality.

For the size you are looking for , here's what's available : (that I could find)...

for 235/85
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp ... mpare1=yes" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp ... mpare1=yes" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp ... mpare1=yes" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

and for 265/75
** The same 4 models as previous, but with 2 more models available , which are :; **
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp ... mpare1=yes" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp ... mpare1=yes" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I personnaly run the destination MT and i am very impressed by the tread life up to now.

One last thing... remanufactured tires.... I have been looking into this alot and if they would do the size I was looking for for next year, I would do it no hesitation. Alot of good review for this company : http://www.treadwright.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The price is just sweet and they make some in the dimension you're looking for :
235 : http://www.treadwright.com/shopnow/prod ... -mt-e.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
265 : http://www.treadwright.com/shopnow/enti ... 75R16.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Threadwright is in the us, but there is also one company that might have one model you would like that is in quebec:

http://pneuecolo.com/en/techno_tires_c.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; look the last one in the truck section. The Xcavator...

I'm sure you can find remanufactured tires company in ontario...it's worth a look....$$
