Looking for a Fabricator

Post by canoe »

Hey guys,

Havent posted for a while, been away. Now however, the truck has finally been retired from daily driving and can be subjected to my ideas and nightmares!

Will post pictures soon of a cargo rack system recently put into the trunk area.

Can anyone suggest who to go to fordesigning/bending/welding? Its an 05 and will now be dedicated to the outdoors full-time. So all the things I denied it over the years will hopefully start coming together... :teeth:

Thanks!!

There's a guy on here somewhere that's pretty good at metal work, his name escapes me at the moment, but I'm sure he'll pipe up.

Blender, Gender, something like that.

I'm pretty sure that he's done work or fabbed something up on at least half of the trucks in the club...

It's a shame that he has NO IDEA what he's doing!

I keed, I keed!

Try
Staangs fab: http://www.staangsfab.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;,
ct motorsports http://www.ctmotorsports.ca/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
or Rock Spyder http://www.rockspyder4x4.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I've seen work from all three shops and they all have produced some awesome work. Check out the FJ Cruiser CT Motorsports built. Now that is some fabrication work.

Good luck, I hope that helps. :thumbup:

Pidge, I tried looking up pics of Jim's work on your bumper and didn't see any posted here. Did i miss them? I'd like to see pics of it if you have any.

Thanks man and no worries if you can't.

Thanks guys! Now have to scrape together the coin. Have a phone bill or something to pay, but racks and bumpers are much more immediate a concern

Canoe, sorry to jack your thread!!

Pidge, you mentioned that you got some work done by Jim. It doesn't matter to me if it's bumper brackets, supports, recovery points or a whole new bumper. I think it's very important for others to see the quality fab work that's out there. But no worries if you don't have any pics man.

Spending money at these fab shops keeps one aspect of the hobby going and creates new ideas. :thumbup:

Talk to Eric at Staang's Fab... Great dude, great work and loves working on these vehicles. Look for him on facebook and http://www.staangsfab.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Heres a pic of his handy work.

It USED to be a bumper for an XJ... But its now 100 % Nissan Pathmaker. He custom made brackets for my truck and little fairings to cover my fluid bottles at no extra charge!! He's very quick responding to emails and very good to deal with!!!
