'04 Rear Intermitent Wipers Conversion?

Wondering what's needed and if its possible to get the intermitent rear wipers that the 04 Xterra has into one that didn't come with it, or as I would understand, was available until 2004, as my 2003 doesn't have it. I know the controls moved from a dash switch to steering column controls, but there's gotta be other stuff other than that, especially some sort of pulsing control system,but the body wiring shouldn't of changed that much for the last year of the 1st gen.

I remember from back in the day that there was an aftermarket thing you could get from canadian tire to make regular wipers turn into intermittent wipers. I'm sure it could be adapted to a rear wiper with enough wiring.

I have manual intermittent wipers on our '02 X.

I bought and installed a long time a go this exact same mod. Back when XOC was around, I bought the kit ( from poor boy engineering ) that taps in to the existing rear wiper wiring and it worked like a charm with adjustability to how often it wipes. I loved that simple little mod.

The other option is to get a Trunk Monkey... From the ads, he seems pretty versatle....
