Took a moment to look at the new aluminum radiator and stainless braided brake lines, maybe next week I can install them.

Swapped back to the OEM shocks I had on hand that I got from Snafu. Upon quick inspection they dont look damaged or bent, which is good. Sent AC an email asking the warranty procedure on them.

Not for the X, but the Jeep got a new windshield, and as JustJeeps had a sale, all new plastic (tinted) windows all around for the soft top. Damn she looks good. Best she's ever been. I have a ritual of driving her to the Georgetown Highland Games (June 9) and it will be super this year!
The X is due for some work, and the parts are here. It's a matter of time.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
Just picked up a 1.8W Solar Battery Maintainer at Canadian Tire - they are on sale for $10 ($9.99 to be exact)
My battery has been waining (due to all the toys plugged in) and figured this would be a nice way to keep the juice up.

A few weekends ago (ya ya ya.. I'm slacking)
2" Body Lift for the truck
Fixed my O2 and knock sensor issues (Who would've though the pushing the plug in all the way would have fixed that )
Replaced the steering box.
Today...
Getting a new idler arm, replacing two ball joints and replacing the UCA bushings and getting an alignment.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
Replacing the two front calipers cause apparently the piston's had seized which also results in replacing all the brakes. (OYE!) And replacing the rear wheel cylinder.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
Oh ya - and we're headed to Western Michigan in 3 hours.
Since I won't be online tomorrow, we're getting some new sneakers for the truck at 8:00 am tomorrow morning. Taking advantage of the fact that we will be over there for over 24 hours so we each get to bring back $800 in product! WOO HOO!
Pray to God this is the last repair on our beast. The one last and final thing is a tuneup then after that, hopefully it will be all set!

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
These will be kinda like the "all around" - Toyo Open Country A/T's. With the amount of driving we do these were the sensible choice. We are keeping our eyes open for some 34's though now that we have the lift and all and then plop those on when we're going wheeling. We had the Toyo H/T's before and they were great both on and offroad so we figure the A/T's will be just as good if not better than the H/T's for wheeling

I think you need to be there 48 hours for that limit.Fyrtowr wrote:Oh ya - and we're headed to Western Michigan in 3 hours.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
As for the Open Country A/T's, I had a set on the X as my daily drivers. Never got the chance to take them offroad, but they weren't the greatest in wet weather, which was disappointing.
These were purchased initially as an AT tire that I hoped would do well in the winters, before I put my lifts on. They were fine as a highway tire, aside from in the wet.
Not to steer you AWAY from them, just offering my feedback on the tires.
Happy shopping!

Rear with carrier. Can did the bumper, need to grab another one for the carrier tomorrow.
Thanx, I can't wait. If it looks good, I might do up all the plastic in the same colour.
