I just realized that any and all my warranties are dissolved as our truck is an 06/02. Oh well.

Booked our appointment for a tuneup tomorrow in preparation for vacation! OHHH YAAAAAAAAAA!

Oddly enough, My truck decided to fix it's knock sensor all by itself today. No check engine light came on! WOO HOO! I love it when the truck self modifies itself!

I got a roll of the fatigue matting that looks like diamond plate a while back. I decided it would be a good way to protect the carpetted cargo area of my rig.

I tried to tuck the edges under trim where possible. So far I'm happy with it. I am debating about putting some on the backs of the rear seat halves, just not sure how I would secure it. I rarely fold them down now that I have two utility trailers so I might not bother.

Didn't do anything TO the truck, but bought something that will help make some items for it! Picked up a lincoln mig welder today!

Actually things slide around less than on the carpet, it is a rubber/sponge like material. not plastic.

A few weeks ago we had torrential rain. Puddles galore! We decided to play in them. Hit a few deep puddles and the battery and the exclamation point started blinking and the headlights started flashing like we were a police car or something. Then the check engine light then came on. Tossed the code reader on there to get these codes:

P0328 - Knock Sensor Circuit High Input
P0327 - Knock Sensor Circuit Low Input

I thought it may have been the starter. So I drove it home and turned it off and it wouldn't start. No dash lights came on on my way home so I was completely baffled. Next morning, I boosted the car and it sounded like it always does and drove it to the Nissan Dealership in Chatham (50 minutes down the 401). They did a load test and said it was the alternator. GREAT! The alternator again. Wonderful. Last time the alternator took a poop on us, both the battery and that exclamation point in brackets were flashing. That wasn't the case this time. :MINDBLOWN:

So, anyhow last night I removed my alternator and Sherri brought it in to the same place we had it rebuilt at back on April 30. With that said, I will be installing my alternator back onto the truck tonight. Just in time for us to leave for our mega road trip. BOOYAH!

Also, I replaced the distributor cap.

Pulled my front headlights and grille out. Took the plastic trim off the lights, and silver bar from the grille. Painted them black with platic paint and VOILA - clean. Aslo took the time to buff up the lights with headlight restorer compound. All three front lamps were changed (marker, amber turn, and headlight). Put it all back together.

Tips if you're going to do the same.

- wear gloves! It's quite grimy back there!
- take the opportunity to clean your rad fins out since nothing is in the way.

When putting everything back on:
1.) Put clips on the grille before installing - pain in the ass to do in place
2.) install lights first then grille, not the other way around

A/C was dead today - pumping out nothing but warm air; warmer than the outside air.

When to C/T and picked up the Red Tek kit along with the Leak Stop canister. Flushed the leak stop first followed by one canister of refrigerant.

Now the truck is cold again.
