Ok I think I'm ready.

Post by lowridah313 »

So in prep for AW, I've been doing some maintanance and upgrades. Here's the list:
- new front brakes (pads and rotors)
- regreased front wheel bearings
- new rear brakes (shoes and spring kit)
- new Rancho RS5000s all around (extended rears)
- alignment
- new CB antenna set up
- new cat-back 2.5" Magnaflow exhaust
- oil change
- fuel filter
- Oh yeah, and a 2" BL. Thanks Simon!

What has everyone done to get ready?

Well its just a Magnaflow muffler, I had the pipes made at the shop. I love the sound of it, I can't stay off the happy pedal.

I think it has a little more torque, but not really a concern of mine.

Yeah, I found mine breathed a bit better on the highway, but aside from that, what you notice the most was the difference in sound...

And that tone will get a bit deeper once the muffler has been "seasoned" a bit...

In preparation for AW (and for the sake of general maintenance) I've...

- Had my clutch, rear main-seal, and transmission input bearing replaced (Alignment included)
- Switched to Warn Premium manual hubs.
- Replaced the three accessory belts on the engine, and one tensioner.
- Got some 1.5" wheel spacers.
- Replaced a cracked tail-light.
- Got rid of the old spare tire and replaced it with one that matches the rest.
- Replaced front rotors and pads, repacked wheel bearings.
- Replaced rear brake drums/shoes/springs, adjusted parking brake
- Replaced idler arm.
- Extended rear differential breather.
- Cleaned alternator.
- Cleaned MAF sensor and air filter.
- Oil change.
- Rotated tires.
- Seafoamed engine.
- Rocker-guarded rocker-panels.

I've been chipping away at it since sometime in July. I think I'm good to go

You realize that the last post in this thread was over 2 years ago right? :D

I'm not entirely sure that I remember what I was even talking about! My best guess is that I was referring to balancing beads, but I can't say for certain.
