Have 2 of them immediately after the borla, killed all the drone and pops while keeping the low growl. Highly recomended would sound awsome with another 2 cylinders poppin

Just laid the third coat of clear coat on my bodywork. Thankfully it was just idiot dent repair and not rot.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
I finally got the chance last week to install my manual hubs. As it seems with every modification or upgrade on my truck, it was more born out of necessity then anything else.
I was trying to park my truck backwards on a slight wet, slipper slope, and I needed 4x4 to actually get into the right spot.
After disengaging the 4x4, I noticed that I had some noise coming from the driver side front wheel area. It was speed specific, would get faster as my speed went up, and actually went away below 60kph.
After conversing with Simon a bit, we figured it was either a sticky auto-hub not disengaging, or something was up with the bearings. So, before heading up to my friends cottage last weekend, I tore apart the auto-hubs and installed the Warn Manual ones that Bow_tied sold me last year at AW.
Haven't had a chance to use them yet, but they are on the truck now, and the clickety clickety noise I had it gone. It ended up being the passenger side auto-hub that was all gummed up. I think I had a bit of water intrusion at some point, because the grease looked a little stickier then normal.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
Yeah, I bought it direct. Likely could have found a distributor nearby if I looked around more, but this was another case of: "I've put this off forever and now AW is 2 weeks away." We've got a puppy now so we're hoping that she'll be comfortable in there, sleeping in her crate.
The quality seems quite good; I'd say it's the same fabric that they use on a JK soft top. Pretty tough stuff so far as I can tell. And took no time at all to put together.
Not cheap, but worth it I think. I also got two bike racks which will mount on the outer top end of the bedsides, so we can get the adult bikes out of truck and free up that space so I can bring even more tools and other crap that I won't end up using.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
Headers in and all buttoned up to old exhaust. Hard to say if there's a leak in the old stuff, but a wee bit of noise after 2400 RPMs - suspect a combination of straight pipes and a few holes here and there. Bottom end torque awesome. Passed a lad on hwy 6 the other day! Didn't drop it outta 5th!
Here's the off thing: no O2 eliminators in yet (I have them, just not installed) and no codes.
Glorious!

On Sunday I did a full back flush if the rad and the condenser. Wasn't as bad as I thought it might be.
Also installed a transmission cooler.

Changed the oil in the truck today.
I had to remove the quick drain valve that I had in the truck, because is was draining slower then molasses in January. When I inspected it to figure out what the problem was, I found it full of junk, and this:
I have absolutely no idea what it is, whether it belongs in the valve or not (I suspect not), or what it's purpose is...
If I had to guess, I'd say its supposed to be plugging an oil gallery somewhere in the bottom of the motor, but that's a total stab in the dark.
If anyone has any ideas of what it is, I'd love to hear them!

Washed the Titan and the Sportsman.
Swapped the 35s onto the Titan.
Loaded minimal recovery gear. Not going to bother with the winch this year.
Lined up a second truck.
Discovered that the front diff is leaking on the drivers side. Not impressed.

It's custom made by Ted himself I believe.

No idea. Does that valve have a double cone that acts like a needle/seat? I have to think it is part of that valve. Is it hollow? If so perhaps an oil gallery orifice? Is it metal or plastic?

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
True. I helped a little bit by drawing the parts in CAD, getting a couple of the plates made via a friend and weld supervising (aka drinking beer ). That was a fun project, wish we could do another.Jayman wrote:Avacado Garage...PiDGE wrote:Lookin good Avacado. I like that. Where's the back bumper from?

FRONTY!!! Looking good with the locker there :jealous:
Today I decided I had too much skin on my knuckles so I decided to replace the OE cap, rotor and plug wires. Ugh, what pita. No time to do plugs, they'll have to wait.
