This may or may not be a media fail. 05 path recall is several years old, not sure if they're confusing that one??

Recall announced today @ Nissan is on 13 pathfinder, 13 Altima & 13 Sentra for a sensor inspection and replace if required.

Of the 10 cars we looked at today, only 1 needed the sensor replaced because it fell within a certain lot number.

If something else is announced I will update.

If the fault was one guy forgetting to turn on a switch, I could not imagine it would affect more than a model year (unlike the media hype).

Problem with the media...just don't think enough but would rather create the hype. Cynical but I always take the news with a grain of salt (or a shaker full).

Looks like 2 seperate recalls coming down the pipe. Will advise when more information coming.
Today got advanced notice of an upcomming recall on 01-03 maxima, pathfinder, and sentra passenger airbag inflator.

I wish they would recall the 2nd Gen Frontiers and Xterras to re-calibrate or offer a switch on the side curtain airbags. No excuse for having your side airbags blow going under 5 km/h just because your off camber.
